    The Double Tree Hotel Modesto is once again our host hotel and is offering a special festival rate of $99.00 plus tax per room, per night.  The hotel rates are five dollars higher than last year and does reflect the continued renovation of the hotel.  Our festival will be held at the Modesto Centre Plaza which is connected to the Double Tree Hotel.   The convenience of not having to leave your hotel in itself is reason enough to stay here.  The Double Tree Hotel Modesto, is the city's highest offering of hotel accommodations, is also the only full service hotel in Modesto, and is centrally located in Modesto.  There are many things to do within walking distance of this hotel.  Along with the hotel's fine restaurants, lounge, club, and amenities, there are many local businesses that have much to offer.  There are shops and boutiques, specialty shops, night clubs and entertainment, the Brenden Theatre with 18 screens, and many restaurants.  We have blocked a number of rooms for this event and they are reserved on a first come first served basis.  In order to receive this festival rate of $99.00 per night, your room reservation must be made by August 3, 2009.  After this date, the hotel will return the unused blocked rooms to their inventory and the rate will be the best available rate at the time.  At our 2007 event, the hotel was sold out for the weekend, so make your reservations early and avoid the rush.  You can make your hotel reservations by calling (209) 526-6000 and speak with any guest services team member.  You will need to mention that you are with the kāne hula festival or keiki hula competition (code will be Kane), and that will give you the festival room rate.  The Double Tree Modesto is looking forward to serving you and to make sure your stay here in Modesto with the George Na`ope Kane Hula Festival, is a memorable one.

FROM THE SACRAMENTO AIRPORT - Start out going south on Airport Boulevard. Merge onto I-5 South toward Sacramento/Yuba City. Merge onto CA-120 East toward Manteca/Sonora.
